Mudpies & Lullabies Creative Preschool system has broken ground to bring their highly recognized educational programming to the Texoma area.

“We are passionate about quality education and care of children in North Texas and we are so excited about the opportunity to work with new children and their families and provide them with quality education and care options in our new home in Denison,” said Danielle Dorman-Chapa, Corporate Director of Mudpies & Lullabies Creative Preschools.

The Mudpies & Lullabies preschool programs began humbly in Melissa, Texas in 2006.

There was a dire need for a pre-school program in North Collin county that combined care and education of children from 6 weeks to 12 years, Dorman-Chapa said.

“Within 6 months of opening our Melissa location we had to add a 5,000 square foot building because that school was already full,” said Melissa Belanger, a director for Mudpies & Lullabies preschools and also the first employee hired at Mudpies & Lullabies in 2006.

Belanger added, “We had to add facilities in Anna and Celina/Prosper in subsequent years due to the demand for our programming and our stringent standards for teachers and support staff.”

“We can’t be more excited about building and coming into a new home here in Denison,” said Amber Shrum, the future team lead of Mudpies & Lullabies Denison.  “We have already had so much positive reaction from this community welcoming us.”

“When I heard that Mudpies was building in my community I was elated,” said Amber Wagner a parent who currently has their child enrolled in Mudpies & Lullabies in Celina but lives in Pottsboro.   “They have such a fantastic educational program.”

Mudpies and Lullabies campuses have been awarded various accreditations and awards across all it’s campuses.  Most recently it was awarded national accreditation at its Anna campus and all the campuses have been recognized as Texas Rising Star providers.  These accreditations and ratings mean lower teacher-student ratios and higher standards that they voluntarily adhere too.

“There are few schools in the state of Texas that even qualify for many of the awards and accreditations that we have held ourselves too,” Dorman-Chapa said.  “While it costs us more to adhere to these lofty standards, we want our parents to know that they have selected the best educational opportunity for their little ones.”

“I am so excited to be a part of the groundbreaking and say I was there on day one in Denison, “said Shrum.
